Try to recheck the torrent, and make sure you have enough space on your C drive to hold the game (most unpackers store temp files on C).

Yeah and no and yeah. Koikatsu looks but AA2 system plus some extras. Unlike Koikatsu, the characters freely talks to anyone including the player character without having to talk to them first. They make their own relationships with each other. The dreaded Yandere is back and not just for show like Koikatsu.
An upside is that it respects your time more than AA2 system did but the downside is that it's too easy to do things now. You can literally get into a relationship and/or have sex with a character within a few minutes of starting with only one or two interactions. I haven't figured out the point to working or studying in the game yet.....
The AI translation seems crustier than ever
for example: "おにぎり=rice ball (often triangular, sometimes with a filling and wrapped in nori)"

[Fatal error in gc | Too many heap sections]
...keep appearing when I try launching the game again, after I quit the game "properly"(Yes ONE no-error run) on each LOGIN.
This can be resolved if I log out and relog to the PC account. But still quite annoying to do so.
It doesn't happened with vanilla + locale.

A: Rarely caused by background threads spawned by plugins, usually during game startup. Restarting the game should work to avoid the issue. Most commonly encountered when using the BepInEx.SplashScreen mod.
Just the nature of the beast at this point in time, ill is trying to stop modding again so kinda experimental.

Although, I haven't actually checked if there are stuff being left, or still used when I quitting the game.
