This release contains translations from Koikatsu Party. There are some problems with choices when a girl asks you a question. I'm still looking into it.
Sorry for the quick release. This pack contains a fix to the disappearing clothing problems, so figured I'd push it out at once instead of sitting on it for a longer time. I also ran through a few mod updates while I'm at it.

Hi. First off I'd like to thank you for all you do. Your repacks are great and you're doing amazing work. Not gonna download this one yet (using R9) because I've never had the clothes issue though.
I do have another issue I'd like to ask about. In Free H when I choose Darkness, pick a girl and a guy and click Accept it'll start loading, but around the 75-80% mark it'll just stop loading altogether. I can even click on the loading bar and move it back and forth (for fun I guess?) but that's all that happens. It doesn't actually finish loading. Ever. Any idea why it doesn't load? Thanks in advance.

OK, so I got a new clean install of R9 and R9.2 setup to try to recreate your problem... Both load just fine for me, but as you said, around the 80% loading mark, something happens... for me that's too short to try and manipulate the loading bar, but my best guess is that therein lies your problem...
My problem is that I got my game running on a SSD and am packing 64GB of ram, so any bottleneck is rather minimized for me, so hard to recreate in a decent manner, but here's my theory:
It's either something wrong with the unity3d files containing the darkness stuff, or your computer is simply having trouble loading due to lack of memory or similar. Du try to give it a few minutes if you're running a older GPU or has less than 16GB of memory. You could also drop by the Koikatsu server at https://universalhentai.com and see if anyone there has experienced similar problems.

Everything that has been officially translated in Koikatsu Party is translated in this pack as well, with the exception of options when a girl asks you a question, for some reason that's very hard to nail down. The rest, expansion content and character types not available in Koikatsu Party, those are for the most part machine translated.

Also, if you have a laptop with nvidia on the board go to nvidia settings and set energy consumption to the maximum performance mod

hi, i have problem since R9 release. My koikatsu doesnt have any sound at all. Im using win 10 and updated my soundcard to the latest. Any idea how i can fix this ?
there is no problem when im playing R8 but when im playing all R9 version the problem showed up.

No... I'm afraid I have never encountered that problem. Do you have other games using Unity? Do those experience similar problems?
You might want to visit the Koikatsu server and ask for assistance in their help channel for more of a hands on troubleshooting session :)

That's new... there's too many potential things to check up on. I'd recommend you drop by the discord server over at https://universalhentai.com to get that troubleshooted. Do have your Koikatu_Data\output_log.txt handy when asking for help to make the process faster.

About the clothes. Clothing does not disappear - it does not dress automatically. If during the h-scene to remove or raise clothes, then after the end of the h-scene the heroine will remain in the same form. If you meet her again, even in a different period of time, she may be in different clothes, but in the same condition (what was removed will remain removed, what has been raised will remain raised). The clothes fully or partially removed may not appear on the general plan until the interaction begins. Before the 8th repack, clothes usually always dress automatically after the r scene. Now, in order to avoid the "disappearance" of clothing, you must fully dress the heroine before leaving the h-scene.

I have reported this to the mods creator. I kinda like the persistence thing, but I get that some of you may not. At the end of the day, the modder will have to address this if it is to be addressed.
In the meanwhile, if you find it too annoying, you can move the KK_SkinEffects.dll file from the BepInEx folder, that should fix the problem, though the extra skineffects will be removed at the same time.

I would not say that it is annoying. This can be called a bit uncomfortable. As I said, clothes can be dress at the end of the h-scene and everything will be fine. (I saw these fixes, but I prefer not to use them.)
Of course, there are certain elements of clothing that are not displayed before the start of communication, but this is also not a significant part.
This is a rather difficult game to fill, which is regularly expanding. Against this background, those flaws that are the norm for such games. And the fact that the developers and you regularly improve the gameplay makes this game almost perfect.
I wrote about the clothes so that you have this in mind and correct it if possible. (a kind of bug report).

Just a question: the game freezes when trying to take a picture while creating a character, how can I fix this?
Monokuma25: There was this steam user who had problem with that "no sound" problem. he said (Had the same problem. Everything works fine on my new pc, but no sound on games with Unity engine. I found the cause: Asus Sonic Studio 3. Disabled it, and sound is back.) in other words. Third party stuff can confuse the game because it is trying to use the windows system and you go through a third party one which the game has no idea about.. if that makes any sense
I updated from R7.1 to R9.2, because I had the following issue in VR: in Free H mode -> Normal -> I only have 1 position available for fondling, service, ...
In R9.2 I have the same problem.
In an earlier repack another guy mentioned having this same problem in VR. Can you perhaps look into this and confirm if this VR issue persists on your side? Thanks.

Press F1 and change the upscaling on the screenshots till you get it working, might be too high for your HW :)

I do not experience this issue in VR on this pack. I can reproduce it on party, but seems to be due to the mod responsible for unlocking everything... I'll look a bit into it. Would be good if you could contact me on discord though and send me your output_log.txt

This includes pretty much all the mods in the HF-patch, so you shouldn't need it, no, but it's not based off the HF-Patch. A new version of HF were released yesterday, and is thus newer than my pack, so if you want to get updated the mods that've been updated lately, you can use it, but I recommend vanillifying the game first with the included vanilifier script :)

No, and it's unlikely that there will ever be any more official releases for this game. Illusion has released one game, Emotion Creators, and am about to release another, AI Shoujo (looks promising, I'm keeping a good eye on this one). This all adds up to Illusion having moved on from this game. So, the only development currently happening for this game is on the fan-side of things, mods are still being made.

No, I currently don't have any plans for that game. I have my hands filled with my current projects, and there just isn't enough hours in the day to do much more I'm afraid. Especially now that I've started releasing AI Shoujo packs and maintaining a sideloader modpack for that game.
How's the updated Playhome repack coming, STN? Any updates or ETA's on when that might be out? And following the official full release for AI Shoujo, will you be releasing your own version at some point?

I am currently keeping up a sideloader modpack for AI Shoujo, as well as a weekly repack of the AI Shoujo trial (See my patreon and/or discord for more information), and I do indeed intend to keep a repack of that game.

Is everything what I need to install for Koikatu in this BetterRepack R9.2? Or do I need to install the base game separately and than this 9.2 version?

I'm hoping for a update to BepInEx prior to releasing a new pack. That being said, I may update my pack soon if it doesn't soon get released though.
Experimental pack is out (Containing BepInEx5) for patrons of the "BR Help Squad" Tier now if anyone's interested. It's VERY experimental so if you decide to grab it, errors are expected.
Just reiterate it here as well, I only paywall my packs when something experimental is going on that could adversely affect the experience for end users, so keep that in mind.
Are there any improvements in the dialogue translations between this from the v9 (July 20th posting)?
Also does anyone know how to/where to modify the min/max on slider settings? Some of them are not increased via the mod that came with 9 (Like Hip width which caps at 100 (I just wanted 125, lol), you have to manually enter the value.... and sometimes it will revert back on restart to the closest min/max after) as well as body scale which hard caps at 40/50?-300 instead of the possible max of 500 the mod should allow.
I know how to use xml/most lua and a tiny scrub tier bit of C# but am not confident to go messing around with mods someone else made trying to find something I might not know how to find, lol. So any help would be appreciated. :D
Hello! I have one issue as well as one question. Every time I try to load the Beach location in VR, the game crashes. The question is, I noticed the game comes with a lot of extra character cards, yet the clothes do not seem to load properly in the character maker. For many, it will default to some version of a school uniform or load in deformed. Someone has to told me to load the character while holding the alt key... it has not worked. I am a noob sorry. And Thank You so much for your work on this game!

I haven't experienced any problems loading that map in VR, but that's a mod map, so interesting things may happen... I'll try to poke on it prior to the next release. For the rest... sounds like you're lacking the sideloader mod folder? is there a mods folder in your game directory with lots of zipmod files inside?

About the TL... A bit, but I've finally found a way to make the dialogue choices translate properly with party translations, so there will be further improvements in the next pack.
The wideslider is restricted by design, as going over those values will cause problems ingame, but you can override it by manually writing a number in the box.
Yes I have that folder and it is filled with many things. I have not touched the files after unzip. It is a very minor issue, but may there be something that can be done? Thank you for the reply.

I've been having a problem where none of the translations load nor other plugins. As this was the case by updating from version 8 to version 9.2 (with the individual installers), I decided to just remove it and download the full package from scratch. Sadly for some reason the problem keeps persisting. Do you have any idea what could be the problem?

Yes, some translations didn't work as intended 100% of the time. This is now addressed and will be improved quite a bit in R9.3, and I'll try my hand at translating the remaining dialogue options at least for a R9.4f/R10 (These two pack will likely be released at the same time, one with BepIn4 and one with BepIn5)
